Whole Grain Nutrition That’s Perfect for Vegetable Applications
First cultivated in Mexico thousands of years ago, today corn is a staple in cuisines worldwide. It is the second-largest crop in the world, second only to sugar cane. Starchy and sweet, corn pairs well with peas and carrots.
Often thought of as a starchy vegetable, corn kernels are botanically considered a fruit, and are considered by nutritionists to be a whole grain(1). Studies show corn may support healthy digestive, cellular, and heart function. Sweet yellow corn is also high in carotenoids, which may support long term eye health.(2)

- Dehydrated Corn is prepared from fresh, mature corn which has been husked, stripped, blanched, dried, and finished processed.
- Feeze-dried corn is dried from IQF.
- This product complies with current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Holding Human Food (21 CFR 117), and with the Code of Hygiene Practice for Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables (CAC/RCP-5-1971, Rev. 2-1985), General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP1969, Rev 2-1985).
- Product shall be free of ferrous and non-ferrous metal >1.0mm, 300 series stainless steel >1.5mm. Practically free of extraneous vegetable matter and other foreign material based on processing capabilities.
- Product is Kosher.
Color: Uniform golden yellow
Hydration (Air-Dried): Allow 10-15 minutes in boiling water, and 1-2 hours in cold water. Typical re-hydration ratio is about 1:10 (dry: fresh).
Hydration (Freeze-Dried): Instant in boiling water. Typical re-hydration ratio is about 1:10 (dry: fresh).
Storage:
- Recommended storage is in a cool dry area.
- Shelf life under normal conditions is 24 months.
