America’s Favorite Chili Pepper
The jalapeño originated in Mexico. In fact, the word “jalapeño” translates as “from Xalapa” (also spelled Jalapa), which is a large city in Mexico. Known as America’s favorite chili, jalapeños have mild to medium heat and a sweet, earthy but bright flavor.
Jalapeños are rich in vitamins A, C, and potassium. It also contains the antioxidant carotene. Jalapeños and other chili peppers may support immune, vision, metabolic, and cellular health.(1)
Our air-dried jalapeños make an excellent addition to a variety of applications, including chips and other snack foods, sausages and other meat products, cheese products, packaged ready meals, seasoning blends, spicy/savory baked goods, dips, dressings, and spreads.
