Dried Kale

Popular Superfood & Prebiotic

Kale originated in the Mediterranean and Asia Minor and is a descendant of wild cabbage found in that area. For most of the 1900s, kale was used as decoration; however, it became popular as an edible vegetable in the 1990s as its nutritional value became more widely known and appreciated. Today, it is a staple in healthy eating. The well-recognized superfood has a strong earthy flavor and pairs well with garlic, carrot, or lemon.

As a superfood, kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods in the world. It’s chock full of Vitamins A, K, C, and B6. It’s also an excellent source of manganese, calcium, copper, potassium, magnesium, and it’s high in antioxidants.(1) Kale may support heart, vision, bone, immune, brain, cellular, and metabolic health.(2) Prebiotics such as kale are growing in popularity as their relationship with probiotics is becoming more widely understood in digestive health and immune support. In small amounts, kale is also a healthy addition to canine diets.

Our air-dried kale can add nutrition and color to any application, including supplement powders, snack foods, baby snacks, dry soup mixes, Instant Pot ready meals, and dog food and treats.
