More Than an Autumn Favorite • Versatile in Human & Pet Food Applications
Originally grown in North and Central America, pumpkin is one of the oldest domesticated vegetables. Pumpkin is popular during autumn when temperatures begin to cool and Pumpkin Spice arrives in virtually every category. It has a sweet, earthy flavor, orange flesh, and pairs well with orange peel and cranberries.
Pumpkin is exceptionally rich in beta-carotene that converts to vitamin A, and is also a great source of fiber, vitamin C, E, iron, folate, and potassium. Studies show pumpkin may support eye, heart, lung, kidney, cellular, immune, metabolic, bone, and digestive health(1). It’s often used in dog, cat, and rabbit food because it may support gastrointestinal, metabolic, eye, and skin health(2)(3).
Our pumpkin powder makes an excellent addition to both wet and dry applications, including popular pumpkin spice items. Possibilities include baked goods and mixes, pancake and waffle mixes, gluten-free products, soups, food bars, and snacks. Pumpkin is an extremely popular product in dog food and treats, and is also a healthy addition to cat, rabbit, and hamster food.

- Dehydrated Pumpkin is prepared from freshly harvested squash Curcubita moschata which has been washed, peeled, trimmed, diced, dried, and finish processed.
- This product complies with current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Holding Human Food (21 CFR 117), and with the Code of Hygiene Practice for Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables (CAC/RCP-5-1971, Rev. 2-1985), General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP1969, Rev 2-1985).
- Product shall be free of ferrous and non-ferrous metal >1.0mm, 300 series stainless steel >1.5mm. Practically free of extraneous vegetable matter and other foreign material based on processing capabilities.
- Product is Kosher.
Color: Yellow-orange.
Hydration: Powders are instant.
Typical re-hydration ratio is about: 1:10 (dry: fresh).
Storage:
- Recommended storage is in a cool dry area.
- Shelf life under normal conditions is 24 months.
