Dried Swiss Chard

Superfood & Prebiotic for Humans & Dogs

Swiss chard is a type of dark, leafy green in the same family as kale, spinach, and collard greens. Thought to have originated from a type of wild beet, swiss chard carries many of the same nutritional properties as beets. It has a mild, slightly bitter flavor similar to spinach and is often incorporated into soups, stews, vegetable pies, and other meals.

Swiss chard is a recognized superfood and prebiotic. It’s packed with fiber, vitamins K, A, and immune-supporting C, calcium, magnesium, antioxidants, and several other nutrients. Studies have shown that it may support healthy cellular, bone, and cardiovascular function.(1)

Our air-dried swiss chard ingredients make excellent additions to meat products such as salami and sausage, frozen appetizers, Instant Pot meal kits, soups, and soup mixes. Swiss chard is also a healthy addition to dog food, toppers, and treats.
