Wild zucchini originated in the Americas but was first cultivated domestically in Europe. It eventually found its way back to the U.S. in the early 1900s. With a very mild flavor that is both a little sweet and a little bitter, zucchini is a go-to “hidden” vegetable for plant-forward dishes designed to subversively add more vegetables into a healthy diet. Zucchini pairs well with black pepper, tomatoes, and red bell peppers.
Low-calorie zucchini is high in nutrients for adults and babies, including potassium, manganese, folate, riboflavin, thiamin, vitamins C, B6, and A. It may support cellular, skin, hormonal, and immune health.(1) It’s also a nutritious addition to canine diets, as it provides dogs the same nutrition benefits as humans.(2)

- Dehydrated Zucchini is prepared from fresh, mature zucchini which has been washed, trimmed, diced, dried, size graded, and finished processed.
- This product complies with current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Holding Human Food (21 CFR 117), and with the Code of Hygiene Practice for Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables (CAC/RCP-5-1971, Rev. 2-1985), General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP1969, Rev 2-1985).
- Product shall be free of ferrous and non-ferrous metal >1.0mm, 300 series stainless steel >1.5mm. Practically free of extraneous vegetable matter and other foreign material based on processing capabilities.
- Product is Kosher.
Color: Fairly uniform green.
Storage:
- Recommended storage is in a cool dry area.
- Shelf life under normal conditions is 24 months.
