Humans all over the world have eaten mushrooms throughout our history. Their meaty texture, savory, umami flavor, and protein content make this ingredient a favorite for plant-forward and meat-inclusive meals alike. Mushrooms pair well with asparagus, garlic, and onions.

In addition to protein, mushrooms are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They’re particularly high in potassium and immune-supporting zinc. They’re also great sources of selenium, copper, thiamin, and magnesium. Studies show that mushrooms may support heart, immune, metabolic, brain, and cellular health.(1)

  • Air-Dried Mushroom is prepared from fresh, mature button mushrooms Agaricus bisporus, which are washed, sliced, dried, and finish processed.
  • Freeze Dried Mushroom is prepared from high-quality, fresh or frozen mushrooms. The product will have been washed, inspected, diced, frozen, freeze-dried, inspected, and finished processed.
  • This product complies with current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Holding Human Food (21 CFR 117), and with the Code of Hygiene Practice for Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables (CAC/RCP-5-1971, Rev. 2-1985), General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP1969, Rev 2-1985).
  • Product shall be free of ferrous and non-ferrous metal >1.0mm, 300 series stainless steel >1.5mm. Practically free of extraneous vegetable matter and other foreign material based on processing capabilities.
  • Product is Kosher.

Color: Mixed, off white to light tan to brown.

Hydration (Air-Dried): Allow 10-12 minutes in boiling water, and 1-2 hours in cold water. Powder is instant in hot water. Typical re-hydration ratio is about 1:11 (dry: fresh).

Hydration (Freeze-Dried): Allow 1 minute in boiling water, and 3 minutes with boiling water poured on. Typical re-hydration ratio is about 1:11 (dry: fresh).


  • Recommended storage is in a cool dry area.
  • Shelf life of air-dried mushrooms under normal conditions is 24 months.
  • Shelf life of freeze-dried mushrooms under normal conditions is 12 months.
