We use Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, and other sweet and tart varieties. Available cuts include cubed, nuggets, slices, and powder. Dried apples pair well with cranberries and celery.
Apples are rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, and other nutrients, including immune-supporting vitamin C and potassium. Studies show that they may help support several aspects of health, including cellular, metabolic, and heart health.(1)
Freeze-Dried and Low Moisture Dried options enable the addition of flavorful, nutritious apples to a variety of applications – both in human food and pet food. Possible human food applications include granola bars, baked goods and mixes, cereals, and ice cream. Dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, reptiles, and other pets all enjoy dried apples and benefit from their fiber and nutrition. Pet food possibilities include bird feed, wet food, raw food, treats, and dry dog and cat food.

- Air-dried and low-moisture-dried dehydrated Apple is prepared from clean, sound cored apples which have been washed, diced, dried, and finish processed
- Freeze Dried Apple is prepared from high quality, fresh or frozen mature sound apple. The product will have been washed, peeled, trimmed, cut, freeze-dried, and finish processed.
- This product complies with current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Holding Human Food (21 CFR 117), and with the Code of Hygiene Practice for Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables (CAC/RCP-5-1971, Rev. 2-1985), General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP-1969, Rev 2-1985).
- Product shall be free of ferrous and non-ferrous metal >1.0mm, 300 series stainless steel >1.5mm. Practically free of extraneous vegetable matter and other foreign material based on processing capabilities.
- Product is Kosher.
Packaging/Storage:
- Recommended storage is in a cool dry area.
- Shelf life under normal conditions is 24 months.
