Add a Splash of Green • Healthy for Humans & Pets
Native to the Mediterranean region of Southern Europe, parsley has been cultivated for culinary purposes for thousands of years. Today, parsley is a staple in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Brazilian, and American cuisine. Mostly used as a garnish to add a splash of green color, the flavor of parsley is green, woody, and fresh with a touch of bitterness. Parsley pairs well with carrot, parsnip, and lemon peel.
Parsley is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It’s particularly rich in vitamin K – one tablespoon provides more than 70% of the recommended daily intake. Studies show it may support cellular, kidney, urinary tract, bone, and eye health.(1) Parsley is also a healthy addition to dog or cat food and treats, as it provides them many of the same health benefits as it does for humans – and it helps freshen their breath!(2)
BCFoods offers various cuts of dried parsley that can be used in many savory applications, including seasoning blends, soup, pasta sauces, Instant Pot ready meals, instant noodles, as well as food and treats for dogs and cats.
