Dried Spinach

Popular Superfood • Versatile Ingredient

Native to Persia (now Iran), spinach found its way into China, and then the Mediterranean in the 800s. Today, this dark leafy green is common in cuisines worldwide. It has a mild grassy taste that is easily overtaken by stronger flavors. Spinach pairs well with many other foods, such as carrots, butternut squash, tomatoes, and onion.

Spinach is a well-known superfood and is a great source of vitamins A, C, K, and B6, iron, antioxidants, thylakoids, calcium, manganese, magnesium, potassium folate, and carotenoids. Studies show spinach may support immune, heart, bone, eye, and cellular health.(1) Spinach is also a popular ingredient for dog and cat food, as our furry friends can benefit from the same nutritional qualities that make it a superfood for humans.(2)

Our air-dried spinach can be used in a variety of applications, including dips, dressings, spreads, dry pasta, instant soups, Instant Pot ready meals, chips, crackers, baby snacks, tortillas, and wraps. Spinach is also popular in dry or wet food, treats, and toppers for dogs and cats. It can also be used as a natural, clean-label food color.
