Dried Butternut Squash

Versatile in Human & Pet Food Applications

Though technically a fruit, butternut squash is generally considered a vegetable. It’s in the winter squash family and originated in South and Central America. It has a sweet, nutty flavor and orange flesh, and is often used in place of pumpkin due to its similar taste, texture, color, nutrients, and health benefits. Butternut Squash pairs well with orange peel and cranberries.

Butternut squash is exceptionally rich in beta-carotene that converts to Vitamin A, which studies show helps support vision and general eye health(1). This squash is also a good source of fiber, vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium, and potassium, as well as many other vitamins and nutrients. It’s often used in pet food to support digestive, eye, and skin health(2).

Our butternut squash powder makes an excellent addition to both wet and dry applications, including soups, snacks, pasta sauces, ketchup, pasta, gluten-free products, and pet food and treats.
